Just some quick searching it *looks* like these are Torrin Big Reds
Interestingly Big Reds are available at home depot for a similar price. I'm wondering if their Huskys are the same just repainted - though the release mechanism looks different.

Looks like they also sell one with a double lock. Good for all of us who are now looking at our not top of the line jack stands and asking ourselves . . .

I’ve always just used the $5 Walmart ones. Haven’t dropped a car on myself yet... I also always put a wheel underneath the control arm/subframe/whatever if I’m under the car since they
were
five bucks.

I look at mine and figure that even if the pawl failed somehow, I think the base is tall enough that my head wouldn’t be crushed? Though yeah, I wouldn’t mind the pin. I’m more concerned about the base failing though.
